United States Environmental Protection Agency
Federal Safe Drinking Water Act Rule Wizard

Welcome to the Federal
SDWA Rule Wizard

This on-line application enables you to determine the federal monitoring requirements for public drinking water systems. It provides a comprehensive list of all of the federal monitoring requirements for a general category of systems. For example, you can use it to review the federal monitoring requirements for a community water system serving 3,300 people using ground water as a source of supply. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) citations and CFR text are included, which present only the federal monitoring requirements. Because additional state requirements may apply, the list of requirements does not take the place of any state issued monitoring plan.

Simply fill in the requested information on each page and, when done, click the button labeled "Next >>".

All efforts have been made to ensure the federal information generated for your drinking water system is accurate and up to date. Where there is a conflict between this website program and the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), the CFR will supersede.
